The technique and preliminary results of the monitoring of seismic areas in the Kamchatka region by two-point observations of the electromagnetic signals of lightning discharges - atmospherics, have been considered. One point of observation is located in the vicinity of Yakutsk, on which the signals from lightning atmospherics sources located at a distances of 3000-10000 km, passing over the Kamchatka region are analyzed. The second point is located on the Kamchatka Peninsula. In some cases observational data obtained in Neryungri are used additionally. The signal amplitude variations caused by seismic disturbances in the lower ionosphere are considered. Such a pair of receiving points increases the possibility of the described method for detecting seismic events in the Kamchatka region.

Key words: earthquake, harbinger, electromagnetic signals, radio signals direction finding, ionosphere.
